HUBER Christmas party 2023

After a four-year pause, HUBER SE once again celebrated at the end of the year in the Europahalle Berching on Friday, 15 December. At this year's event, eight employees were honoured for 40 and 45 years of service.

In the course of 2023, HUBER honoured over 70 employees for 10, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years with the company. At the Christmas party, the three trainees and dual students with the best degrees were also honoured and five employees were bid farewell to their well-deserved retirement.

Georg Huber, CEO and shareholder of HUBER SE, welcomed all to the festively decorated Europahalle and opened the evening: ”I am very pleased that after four years we can once again celebrate a Christmas party here in the Europahalle Berching,” said Huber in his welcoming speech. ”We have hired over 280 new colleagues since 2020 and would like to extend a special welcome to everyone who is attending our traditional Christmas party for the first time today. We have coped well with the challenges and turbulence of the markets in recent years because we were and are prepared to adapt to new situations as a company. We are still on course for growth and are optimistic about the future.”

Honours and farewells

Next, Dr Oliver Rong (Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief Production & Engineering Officer) welcomed everybody and paid tribute to the colleagues and company pensioners who had passed away during the year, whom the company will honour in their memory. Dr Rong went on to honour eight employees for 40 and 45 years of service and more than 60 others for their long service to the company. Dr Rong: ”I would like to thank all those celebrating anniversaries for their long service to the company. With your experience and commitment, you have all contributed greatly to the successful development of HUBER!”

In addition, the three best graduating apprentices and dual students were honoured and five employees were bid farewell to their well-deserved retirement. Dr Rong also took the opportunity to thank the works councils and the youth and trainee representatives for their dedicated work. In total, over 70 colleagues were honoured for 10, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years with the company over the course of 2023.

A successful end to a successful year

Other highlights of the evening included a large buffet and a raffle, the proceeds of which were donated to a charitable cause. Overall, the 2023 Christmas party was a complete success and a perfect conclusion to an eventful and successful year. HUBER SE is looking forward to 2024 and is grateful for the commitment and cooperative teamwork of its employees.
